The Taliban's finance ministry has given Afghan businessmen three months to stop importing medicines from Pakistan. The ministry said in a statement that no Pakistani medicines would be cleared at Afghan customs after the deadline. Fazlullah Niazi, head of the Afghanistan Pharmaceutical and Medical Equipment Importers Association, told the BBC that it was difficult for Afghan businessmen to settle their accounts in three months. Mr. Niazi said that currently at least 60 percent of Afghanistan's spices are imported from Pakistan.
